The Independence celebration started on friday (30 sept). Someone had the idea to make T-shirts with the Nigerian map on it inscribed with any words of your choice. People ask if there is anything worth celebrating and I say I choose to be patriotic of my country and they should learn to do the same even if it is for just one day of the year.

Independence day was was a fun filled day. There was a mini football tournament for the guys and ladies as well. I think the Nigerian female team was called 'Koko strikers' and i have no idea the name of the other team. Anyway Koko strikers lost to the opposing team by 7-1, but we were so glad when they scored their only goal. All in all it was fun to watch the match. Congrats to all who played yesterday.
