Eger Basilica/Catheral, Hungary

Last Sunday I went on a school organised trip to Eger, Hungary. We visited a lot of sights in Eger among which include the Eger Basilica. I decided to make this post separate from the rest because I took a lot of photos. To check out the rest of my trip click HERE.

The Basilica in Eger is the second largest in Hungary, which has a dome shape. It was built in 1831-37. It is open to visitors. Inside the Cathedral, there are a lot of paintings on the ceiling. There are also a number of sculptures. Its a really beautiful building. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to see and experience it and to take photos as well.

Bus Trip

After my recently concluded exams, some of my friends an I decided to take a bus trip to Prague. We just had about 2 weeks of holiday before the next semester was to start (which has started by the way). I guess we just needed a break from this environment and a change of scenery was a welcomed idea. We spent just 4 days in Prague and must I say that it is an absolutely beautiful city.  The trip was very successful as we came back very refreshed to face another semester.

Anyway I have below a few pictures that I took from the bus that I want to share. I'll probably post some pictures from sites I visited in Prague.

 So thats it. I'm back to school and back to the books.

Trip to Sweden

I went to Sweden late summer last year just a weekend to visit my cousin for who recently moved there and I loved the entire trip. I just want to share a little from my trip. 

Sweden is an absolutely beautiful country. Sweden has about 221,800 islands according to the Sweden statistics 2001, and out of these only 1,143 islands are inhabited. During my visit, I stayed on one of these islands. It is so so beautiful. I also went to Stockholm for a day, so watch out for pictures in the next post. 

The boat to get to the island from the mainland, i took about 10-15 minutes and first time I got in I was so scared because of the waves, but by my third ride, I was used to it.

I really enjoyed that trip, unfortunately it came to an end so fast because I had to go back to school. I'll probably go back soon.
